BUILT promotes awareness of Albany’s built environment and raises funds for preservation efforts. For the past 12 years they’ve used their annual art exhibit and silent auction to highlight the issue of vacant buildings. With BUILT, we extend this artistic lens not just on vacant architecture but onto Albany’s entire BUILT environment.

New this year, Historic Albany Foundation is partnering with Breathing Lights. In line with this partnership, the Call for Art has been EXTENDED to include Schenectady and Troy, in addition to Albany. All submitted work should speak to the buildings of the past, present & future of Albany, Schenectady and Troy. A cash prize of $150 will be awarded by Breathing Lights to support the creative re-envisioning of our cities’ vacant, historic architecture by a regional artist.
